Office of Assessment Strategies & Instructional Systems

In August of 2010, a new assessment department was created and named the Office of Assessment Strategies & Instructional Systems (OASIS). A more scalable and enterprising assessment strategy was developed that reflects the unique nature of this institution. It is a holistic approach that integrates assessment into the fabric of the instructional development and design. The objective of the OASIS is to assist academic leadership in planning and decision-making by providing comprehensive, integrated, evidence-based assessment support throughout a course and program life-cycle. Our work is carefully and deliberately threaded throughout the course development process. Our efforts promote Ashford University's culture of assessment and continuous improvement.
