Graduate and Professional Education of Alumni
In 2010 and 2011, Ashford University invited its graduates for whom it had sufficient contact information to participate in alumni surveys. The invitees included students who graduated from Ashford University on or after 5/17/1974 and before 8/12/2011 (with 99.9% of invitees having graduated on or after 12/15/2005). Surveys were conducted in November 2010 and August 2011 to those who did not respond to the 2010 survey. Surveys with sufficient information reporting pursuit of graduate and professional degrees were returned by 3,193 out of a total of 24,282 to whom surveys were sent.
Based on the Alumni Survey responses, at least thirty or more alumni who graduated from a Bachelor's degree program and indicated that they chose to pursue graduate and professional degrees identified the following graduate and professional programs of study:
- Education and Training
- Business, Management and Administration
- Human Services
- Health Science
- Government and Public Administration
- Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security
Employment Industries and Types of Employment
In 2011, the Ashford University alumni survey was updated to include additional questions regarding current employment. Ashford University invited its graduates for whom it had sufficient contact information to participate in the updated alumni survey in August 2011. The invitees included students who graduated from Ashford University on or after 5/17/1974 and before 8/12/2011 (with 99.9% of invitees having graduated on or after 12/15/2005), who had not previously completed the alumni survey administered in November 2010. Surveys with sufficient information reporting types of employment were returned by 2,299 graduates out of a total of 19,748 to whom surveys were sent.
The following list includes the current occupations listed by at least five survey respondents. The list identifies types of occupations reported as of the date of the survey without regard to date of graduation and without regard to when the graduate obtained the employment. The list also includes occupations reported without regard to whether the position is in the graduate's field of study. The list does not include occupations in which fewer than five respondents reported current employment.
Based on the alumni survey responses, at least five or more Ashford University graduates responding to the surveys reported that they were currently employed as of the survey date in the following types of occupations:
