Gloria Zúñiga y Postigo

Dr. Zúñiga y Postigo is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. She earned her PhD in philosophy from the University at Buffalo, with a doctoral thesis on the ontology of value. She also attended the philosophy program at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Master’s program in economics at California State University, East Bay. For her undergraduate work, she attended California State University, East Bay, where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics. Dr. Zúñiga y Postigo has worked at Ashford since 2009. During this time she has taught courses in philosophy, especially those in informal logic and ethics. Her work brings together value theory, ethics, philosophy of society, social ontology, neurophenomenology, and philosophy of economics. In addition, Dr. Zúñiga y Postigo has been developing work in the philosophy and ethics of technology and engineering. “Above all,” she says, “teaching is my passion and I am inspired by the character of Ashford students who seek learning despite any obstacles that they may have previously encountered.”
