Kristina Bodamer, MA
College of Education
Kristina Bodamer is an Instructor at Ashford University’s College of Education. She holds an MA in Curriculum and Instruction and a BS in Elementary Education from the State University of New York College at Fredonia. Prior to joining Ashford, she taught in a public school for twelve years, where she also mentored new teachers and student teachers. Additionally, she was the technology coordinator and one of the website design leaders for her district; she has chaired many committees and assisted in choosing new curriculums; and she has served as a curriculum liaison, training teachers on new curriculums and traveling to other schools to help coordinate their staff to fit their building needs. Ms. Bodamer was an Associate Instructor at Ashford for over three years and has served on program review teams and worked on course development. “Here at Ashford, I have the opportunity to help future teachers become an inspiration to the children they teach.” Her advice to incoming students is: “Find your passion or dream, and use the opportunities that your education affords to reach those dreams.” Besides spending time with her husband and two children, Ms. Bodamer enjoys coaching and playing both basketball and softball.
