Pamela Hardy, PhD

Dr. Pamela Hardy is an Assistant Professor with Ashford University, where she is the Chair of the Adult Development content area. She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Human Services, Management of Nonprofits specialization from Capella University. She also earned her Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Maternal and Child Health and a Master of Business Administration with a Specialization in Marketing from National University. She completed her undergraduate work at San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Psychology. For the past 34 years, Dr. Hardy has worked in numerous capacities, such as Alcohol Facilitator and Ombudsman for the US Navy. She provided domestic violence research for the New Parent Support Program. Additionally, she served as Coordinator for the US Department of Labor. As Director of the State of California’s Black Infant Health Program, she created programs and conferences to assist low income and military families in the community. “This is your academic journey,” she tells her students, “what you put into it is what you will get out of it!” Besides teaching, Dr. Hardy is a volunteer Patrol Officer for the San Diego Police Department, Southeastern Division and an avid fundraiser and walker for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority.
