Jaclyn Krause, PhD
College of Business and Professional Studies
Dr. Jaclyn Krause is an Assistant Professor in Ashford University’s College of Business and Professional Studies, where she teaches project management classes in the graduate program. She earned a PhD in applied management from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN, an MA in educational technology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, and a BS in organizational management from the University of La Verne. She has worked in various capacities in information technology for over 36 years, and her most recent experience was that of a systems analyst/IT project manager. “My professional experiences have helped me understand the importance of multiple perspectives. Even within a large organization, there are many different ways of executing tasks and multiple opportunities for improving one’s professional practice. I think that this has informed my teaching style by helping me stay open to possibilities.” She enjoys getting to know her students, understanding their personal experiences, and looking to see how they can relate learning to real-world learning opportunities. Of Ashford, she says, “I had always heard great things about Ashford University! Everyone who teaches here seemed to LOVE everything about the experience. What excited me most about the opportunity to teach here full-time were the students. I have always thought that Ashford students were smart and well-prepared with diverse backgrounds.” Dr. Krause lives with her husband and a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog in Lake Isabella, CA.
