Wayne A. Hollman, PhD

Dr. Wayne Hollman is Chair of Quantitative Methods, Accounting, and Finance at Ashford University's College of Business and Professional Studies. This native Southern Californian lives in Carlsbad, CA with his wife of 20 years and three teenage daughters. He holds a BA in economics from San Diego State University, an MBA from California State University Dominguez Hills, and a PhD in Finance from Walden University. Most of his twenty five years of professional experience has been in the financial services industry. He has worked for some of the top brokerage firms in the nation, organized and managed a division of financial advisors at a large financial planning software company, and launched an internet-based financial services firm that was featured in the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, and other well-known publications. In 2005, he began teaching online, and has taught finance courses at UCLA, BYU-Idaho, and other well-respected universities. In 2010 he joined Ashford University, where he currently teaches mostly graduate-level finance and investment courses. “I am especially impressed with the quality and academic rigor of Ashford’s financial degree programs.
