Michael Snell, MBA, DBA

Dr. Michael Snell is an Assistant Professor in the College of Business and Professional Studies at Ashford University. He earned his Doctoral and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Dr. Snell has a Master’s Certificate in Six Sigma and Master’s Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University. He has over two decades experience working in the public and private sectors and has held positions as an executive director of a non-profit agency and as the agency director for a for-profit company. He has worked at Ashford since 2010, teaching courses in operational, project, and strategic management. Dr. Snell aims to be a creative and results-orientated leader and believes that good leaders must first become good servants to their employees. He says, “You can’t teach culture. You have to live it along with your employees. The best leaders aim for the heart because people don’t care how much you know until they know you care.” Dr. Snell loves to see students grow and develop through their degree program and succeed in their quest for higher learning.
