Dr. Stephen Meeneghan is an Assistant Professor in the College of Health, Human Services, and Science at Ashford University. He holds a Doctorate in Naturopathy and a Master’s degree in the Science of Oriental Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at The Evergreen State College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Religion. After earning his board certification from the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners, Dr. Meeneghan began his private practice (Golden Gate Natural Medicine) in San Francisco, CA. He began teaching at Ashford because he is passionate about sharing his expertise in complementary and alternative health. He says, “I’ve always been hungry for knowledge and feel that my education has been a gift as well as one of my most important achievements. I am deeply committed to sharing what I’ve learned in the hopes that it will inspire others to achieve their personal and professional goals. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than helping others, whether it’s ameliorating a patient’s pain, answering questions in the class forums, or helping students walk across the graduation stage.” Dr. Meeneghan resides in San Francisco, CA with his eight-pound Chihuahua-mutt, Tommy.
