Biography“My teaching style is geared toward the adult learner, but simply put, all students can learn."
Dr. Jackie W. Kyger is an Assistant Professor in the College of Education at Ashford University. He obtained a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University, a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management from Southern New Hampshire University. He has a Graduate certificate in Library Science from the University of North Texas as well as one in Information Systems from Keller Graduate School of Management. Dr. Kyger is a Certified Professional Manager, a member of the Southwest Educational Research Association, and a retired officer of the U.S. Coast Guard. He has worked in high school and university levels as a teacher and an administrator. At Ashford, he instructs graduate-level education courses. Dr. Kyger enjoys the enthusiasm Ashford students have for learning and says, “My teaching style is geared toward the adult learner, but simply put, all students can learn.” He resides in South Texas with his wife, who is also a teacher. Their two adult daughters are teachers as well.
