Althea Artis is an Instructor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. She holds three Master of Arts degrees from Azusa Pacific University in the areas of Pupil Personnel Counseling, School Psychology, and Special Education. At APU, she also earned credentials in School Psychology and School Counseling. Artis obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Laverne and is working towards obtaining her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She has over a decade of practice teaching and developing online courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She also brings over a decade of experience working as a school psychologist, a school counselor, and a special education teacher. “It gives me great pleasure to teach, learn, and facilitate with such a diverse student population from all over the world,” she says. “Online learning has allowed individuals who would not ever think of obtaining their degree the opportunity to do so. I am very pleased to be teaching at Ashford, and grateful to be involved with such wonderful students and staff members.”
