Ted Ellis is an Assistant Professor in the field of Criminal Justice at Ashford University. His educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in history from Northwest Nazarene College, a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Idaho, and a Master of Science (MS) in criminal justice with a concentration in analysis of criminal behavior from the University of Cincinnati. Prior to joining the faculty at Ashford University, Ted worked as an attorney for several years. He is passionate about teaching and seeks to inspire each student to engage in the pursuit of course mastery and to critically reflect upon current justice system issues and challenges. As a particular point of emphasis, he seeks to instill an appreciation for the centrality of procedural and substantive due process in criminal case dispositions. Ted and his wife enjoy reading and spending time together with their toddler son.
