Donald McKay, PhD

Dr. Donald McKay is an Assistant Professor in Ashford University’s College of Business and Professional Studies. He holds a PhD in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale-Davie, FL, an MS in management information systems, an MBA from New York University in International Business, and a BS from Maine Maritime Academy. He was elected as a member of Epsilon Pi Epsilon, an honor society for computer professionals, and also holds exam-based certifications in logistics, integrated resource management, and project management. Dr. McKay had a long career in global transportation and logistics, working in operations, logistics engineering, and information technology. His career allowed him to live in Asia for five years and travel around the world extensively. He now teaches graduate courses at Ashford in integrated supply chain management and advanced logistics, and enjoys being able to share his real-world experience and knowledge with students. “At Ashford University, through online teaching, we help students gain access to a university education that might not otherwise be possible.” He advises his students to believe in themselves and not to give up. “Education is the best gift you can give yourself and your family to improve quality of life.” Dr. McKay currently resides in San Diego, CA.
