Dr. Stephanie Young Gonzaga is an Assistant Professor in the College of Business and Professional Studies at Ashford University. She holds a DM in Leadership and Organizational Management, Information Systems and Technology, from University of Phoenix. Additionally, she has a BS in Business Administration, an MS in Computer Information Systems, and a Doctorate in Leadership and Organizational Management/Info Systems and Technology, all from the University of Phoenix. She has over 22 years of experience in information systems, enterprise IT operations, and business management, where she has held titles such as Vice President of IT, Senior Vice President, and Chief Information Officer. She has worked for large and small organizations with international and domestic operations. As a former online student herself, she is very familiar with the great amount of effort it takes to complete an advanced degree in an online program. “Speaking from personal experience, online programs are arguably the best way to get a career advancing degree while working full time. Teaching and sharing my experiences with students allows me to give back to the community while helping others realize their goals. I enjoy working at Ashford because its mission is student-focused and the people here are very dedicated to the mission.” Dr. Young Gonzaga is an avid reader of science fiction, enjoys refinishing old furniture, and donates her technical skills to an international charity that makes micro loans to poor women in Africa. She and her husband, who live in Southern California, enjoy traveling to beaches in the Philippines.
