Dr. Genea Stephens is the Program Chair for the Bachelor of Arts in Law Enforcement Administration in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Service Agency Management from Northern Arizona University, a Masters' degree is in Public Administration from Wayland Baptist University, and a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Organizational Development from Grand Canyon University.

Dr. Stephens served in law enforcement for more than 20 years, holding the rank of sergeant for 14 years. Her experience includes a variety of specialty assignments including, Vehicular Crimes, Administration-Scheduling, Professional Standards, and Criminal Investigations. During her Criminal Investigations assignment, she supervised the Family Violence Unit, Adult Sex and Child Crimes Unit, and the Victim Assistance Unit. She had daily interactions with the public during the last three years of her law enforcement career, as a member of Patrol Services. Dr. Stephens' teaching experience includes classes at the Regional Police Academy, Advanced Officer Training, Field Training Officer Development, and as adjunct faculty at Maricopa County Community College District for nearly eight years. Her teaching experience includes campus and online learning.

Dr. Stephens lives in Arizona, where she has two Australian Cattle Dogs (Bailey and Riley), and she enjoys spending spare time stretching her DIY skills around the house.
