She has worked in both health and human services as well as on related large-scale research projects. The focus of her scholarship and professional experience has been the health and well being of low-income women and children, with a particular emphasis on resilience. A creative person at heart, Dr. Larson is excited about engaging students in learning in new ways through the online platform here at Ashford. One of her favorite aspects of teaching is the chance to continually learn from the diverse experience of her students. When not at her desk, she may be found singing or at the piano, playing with her dogs on the beach, working on a fiber arts project, or swinging a golf club.
