He holds a Master of Science in Computer Education from Barry University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, and is currently working towards a Doctor of Health Sciences from A.T. Still University. Marks has experience in healthcare and teaching Information Technology. His health care experience includes nursing, quality improvement, and health disparities research. He takes a “whole person” holistic approach toward education and believes that a student’s experiences and current life situation must be considered in order to best help that particular individual achieve his or her educational goals. He says, “It requires hard work and dedication to be successful. Students should constantly reflect on why they are taking courses and how each decision affects their long-term educational goals.” Marks spends his spare time fishing, sailing, and serving as a nurse volunteer in the Florida Medical Reserve Corps.
