She says, “My favorite thing about teaching is the ability to support adult learners in their dream of receiving a higher education and in their personal and professional milestones. What I love about Ashford University is the camaraderie among all of the staff and faculty members, along with the support that is offered to each student as a team. It is a group effort in making sure that each student leaves feeling successful.” Dr. Hudson has also been the Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Night of Hope Gala since 2010, which helps in raising funds for fighting cancer through research, prevention, and patient services. She lives in the Seattle area and her hobbies include singing, cross-stitching, dancing Zumba, traveling, wine tasting, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys competing in 5K races and says, “Even though I run them rather slowly, at least I finish!”
