Dr. Nate Pritts is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. He holds a PhD in Writing with a specialization in British Romanticism from the University of Louisiana, a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Warren Wilson College, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Film from the State University of New York. Dr. Pritts has worked as a corporate trainer at record and comic book stores, and as an ad agency writer. He has taught learners of all ages using a variety of methods, including Blackboard, Moodle, and Desire2Learn, among others. He enjoys how online learning intersects creativity and technology, and says, “I like the possibilities inherent in preserving the old ways that work while integrating some of the new technologies and collaborative potentials. Working with Ashford allows me to break down some of the barriers that exist and connect with students from all over the world.” Dr. Pritts runs his own online journal and press, and has authored six books of poetry. He also writes and reviews for major outlets including Southern Review, Forklift, Ohio, Court Green, Gulf Coast, Boston Review, and Rain Taxi.
