Dr. Richard Hassler is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. He holds a Doctor of Education from Fielding Graduate University and a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in American Religion from Ohio University. Dr. Hassler has worked as a higher education teacher since 1980. More recently, he was employed as an area manager of training for a large steel mill near Baltimore, Maryland. He joined Ashford’s faculty in 2007 and bases his love for teaching on the belief that lifelong learning is transformative and the key to happiness and success. His motto for students is “Never, never quit and always do your very best.” Living in northeast Ohio on 14 acres of heavily wooded country bliss, Dr. Hassler satisfies his passion for flying, photography, and playing the blues as often as he can.
