Biography

Dr. Suzanne Craymer Kissel is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. She earned a Doctorate in English Literature with a specialization in Medieval and Early Modern Literature and Master of Arts in English from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from University of East Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Davidson College. Since earning her PhD, Dr. Kissel has been working as an online instructor and course development specialist while simultaneously continuing to conduct research on medieval and early modern literature. She started working at Ashford in early 2012 and teaches courses in English. She says, “My teaching style is entirely focused on meeting the needs of a diverse group of student learners. In teaching with Ashford, I can connect with learners and position them to make substantial changes in their lives.”
