Dr. Nate Pritts is an Associate Professor and lead faculty in the Communication Arts department that is part of the Division of General Education at Ashford University. He holds a PhD in Writing with a specialization in British Romanticism from the University of Louisiana, a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Warren Wilson College, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Film from the State University of New York. Dr. Pritts has worked as a corporate trainer at record and comic book stores, and as an ad agency writer. He has taught learners of all ages using a variety of methods, including Blackboard, Moodle, and Desire2Learn, among others. He enjoys how online learning intersects creativity and technology, and says, “I like the possibilities inherent in preserving the old ways that work while integrating some of the new technologies and collaborative potentials. Working with Ashford allows me to break down some of the barriers that exist and connect with students from all over the world.” Dr. Pritts is the Director and Founding Editor of H_NGM_N (2001), an independent publishing house, and is the author of seven books of poetry, most recently Right Now More Than Ever (2013) and Post Human (2016).
