San Diego Teachers Eligible to Win Tuition and Textbooks

March 27, 2012 – Ashford University is seeking applicants for four scholarships to be awarded to San Diego teachers. The scholarships cover tuition and textbooks for the Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with Technology or the Master of Arts in Education programs. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is March 31, 2012.

“Ashford University is committed to supporting the success of today’s teachers, who are responsible for the success of our children,” said Dr. Elizabeth Tice, president of Ashford University. “This is a great opportunity for San Diego teachers to further their education and obtain the skills necessary to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s students.”

To apply, educators must fill out the Teacher Appreciation Scholarship Program form located at http://ashfordteacherappreciation.com/ and answer three brief essay questions regarding education.

A total of four winners will be selected by the scholarship committee. The judges will score each essay based on the essay’s relevance to the topic, its originality, and its overall impression. Winners will be notified by April 23, 2012.
