AU Plans Student Presentation on Park



Ashford University Student Kenny Kusimba will present a talk entitled “Elk and Bighorn Sheep of Rocky Mountain National Park” on Tuesday, October 6 at 6:30 p.m. in room A342 of St. Clare Hall on the Ashford campus.

His presentation, the first in this year’s Scholars Institute symposia, will focus on the distribution of the elk and bighorn sheep throughout the park, the management of the species, and their interactions with other species.

Kusimba, who is originally from Kimilili, Kenya and has worked with the Kenyan Wildlife Service, participated in a 10-week internship in Rocky Mountain National Park this summer. He is currently a senior at Ashford, majoring in natural sciences and minoring in environmental studies.
