Member of Ashford University Honour Society Receives Military Service Scholarship Award

Senior Master Sergeant David Beach, a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society chapter at Ashford University, recently received a $1,000 2014 Military Service Scholarship Award.

Senior Master Sergeant David Beach, a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society chapter at Ashford University, was recently awarded Golden Key’s 2014 Military Service Scholarship Award, valued at $1,000.

“We congratulate David on this honor,” said Dr. William Woods, Golden Key advisor at Ashford. “We commend all of our members who serve in the military while they are attending Ashford.”

The Military Service Scholarship recognizes and awards Golden Key members who are actively engaged in the military or public service while pursuing their educational goals. Twenty-four Golden Key members applied for the award but only five were awarded the $1,000.

David Beach is a member of the United States Air Force stationed at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colo. He serves as the superintendent of recruiting operations at the Air Reserve Personnel Center. Previously, Beach served as a recruiting flight chief, recruiting trainer, recruiter, and human resource manager.
