International Ombudsman Association
The Ombudsman and staff are members of the International Ombudsman Association (IOA) and adhere to and operate in accordance with the IOA's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
No person shall suffer any penalty or retaliation because they seek the assistance of the Office of the Ombudsman. All conversations with the Ombudsman's Office are confidential. The Ombudsman may only take action or identify someone with their permission. Identifying someone, even where they have given such permission, is at the sole discretion of the Ombudsman and no other. The privilege lies only with the Ombudsman.
