Your Bachelor of Arts in Social Science degree program focuses on human relationships in society. You'll examine the implications of cultural diversity, and acquire a foundation of research skills from the social sciences, including history, psychology, and sociology. Specializations

You may also choose to delve into other areas of social science when you add a specialization to your degree program. A specialization consists of four (4) courses, each worth three (3) credits.     Dive in to the past, and prepare for your future. By earning your specialization in History, you will explore multiple regions and cultures and build an intellectual toolkit for addressing complex global issues.
  • Political Science & Government
    Learn about the complex inner workings of the United States government and the global environment. Discover how your elected officials represent your interests with a specialization in Political Science & Government.

Transfer Concentrations

Personalize your Bachelor of Arts in Social Science degree when you pair it with a transfer concentration. Use previous education or work experience to enhance your degree and customize it more closely with your professional and educational goals. You can transfer up to 12 approved credits of applicable coursework to qualify as your concentration to the Social Science degree program. You can transfer up to 12 approved credits of Human Services coursework to qualify as your concentration in the Social Science degree program. Your fundamental understanding of the human service industry as well as how the application of the behavioral sciences can positively impact the human service environment will supplement your studies in Social Science resulting in a well-rounded degree. You'll be glad to know that you can transfer in these approved credits no matter when you took them so the credit you've already earned will not go unused.
