Your service and life experience could translate into college credits that will accelerate degree completion. Transfer up to 99 approved credits, including prior learning credits, toward a Bachelor's degree. Talk with a Military Admissions Advisor about maximizing credits from AARTS, SMART, CCAF, and USCG transcripts. As a benefit to you, Ashford University will request all college and military transcripts on your behalf.
Regionally or Approved Nationally Accredited Coursework
Transfer up to 99 credits from regionally or approved nationally accredited institutions to Ashford University. An Associate of Arts degree will transfer over to Ashford in block, minimizing the time-to-completion of a Bachelor's degree. Plus, Ashford's online Bachelor's degree programs have between 38 and 53 elective credits, which means there's plenty of room for AS credits and AAS industry-specific credits to apply as well.
Prior Learning Credits
The Ashford University Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Program allows you to earn credit for college-level learning that occurs outside a traditional classroom setting while pursuing a baccalaureate degree. The PLA program is managed by the Office of the Dean of the College for External Studies and complies fully with Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) standards for excellence.
National Testing Program Credits
Transfer up to 75 credits from approved National Testing Programs, such as CLEP (College Level Exam Program) and DSST (DANTES Subject Standardized Tests).
Military Credits
Military and training experience is of great value and may also help you get closer to a degree. Transfer up to 75 military credits at Ashford University where efforts and experience in the military are recognized.

Enjoy the flexibility of online courses and choose when and where it's most convenient for you to earn your degree. With classes that last 5-6 weeks, taken one at time, you could earn your degree in as few as 12 months. As a student at Ashford University, you can choose from the following degree programs:
