What is it like to work at Ashford University?
I love it – it's a great opportunity to really see that what I do every day actually changes peoples lives. Many people dream of going to school, but they don't think they can do it. After you talk to them for a few minutes, you help them to see that it can be done. I also love the people I work with.
Tell a story of a significant impact you have made on an Ashford University student's life?
I had a student who was paralyzed from the chest down. He was unable to leave the nursing home he was in, but he wanted to get his degree so he could help people. He was able to take classes online to help realize his dream.
What do you appreciate most about your co-workers?
They were very helpful and patient with me when I first started, and even now... I like that everyone works together to make sure we can do a great job as a team.
What makes you excited to come to work each day?
The chance to help people with an educational option that is more flexible and affordable than almost every other option. I hate when I find out about a great deal after I had just purchased something. I think by contacting as many potential students as possible, I can help people reach their dreams in a way that is often much better than the other alternatives.
How would you describe your experience as an Ashford University employee?
I actually started off slow, but my manager and co-workers were very supportive. They believed that I could do it and helped me along the way. Now I am doing great and helping my teammates to do the same.
