Native Mexican celebration

When:
July 10 through July 17th

Travel to the heart of Mexico while earning credits toward your Bachelor's degree when you take LIB 380 History and Culture of Mexico. Thanks to a partnership with Universidad Internacional, the Center for Linguistic and Multicultural Studies and Ashford University, you can explore the language, history and culture of Mexico while enjoying the beauty of Cuernavaca and surrounding areas. Click here to learn more about Universidad Internacional.

You will spend one week of the five-week course in Mexico taking Spanish and culture classes. The UI has classes that can accommodate students of all language levels-beginner to native Spanish speakers. This isn't a Spanish class-it is a history and culture course with a Spanish language component, your current language ability is not a factor.

In addition to Spanish classes, you will have the opportunity to participate on excursions to ancient pyramids, museums, and cultural events while in Mexico. Pamela Felkins, will be the faculty member for the course and will accompany students to Mexico. She has had more than 15 years of experience teaching Mexican Field Study courses.

  1. Send an email to pamela.felkins@bridgepointeducation.com or matthew.bellino@bridgepointeducation.com for additional information.
  2. Once you have decided to participate in this excursion contact your academic advisor to register for LIB 380 History and Culture of Mexico. Your academic advisor can adjust your schedule to work around this opportunity. It is NOT recommended that you double up to participate.
  3. If academic credit is not needed, you can still participate for non-credit. Your family, children and friends are welcome to join the group and enjoy the attractions and culture of Mexico.
