Ashford University Adds Two New Programs to its Online Catalog
– Ashford University has announced the addition of two new programs to its catalog of online academic offerings. The programs – a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management and a Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Public Policy – were formally introduced to university students on August 6, 2009.
“The addition of these programs to Ashford University’s online curriculum further demonstrates our commitment to providing our students with high quality degree options,” said Ashford University’s director of Business and Professional Studies, Dr. Michael Reilly. “A distinguished component of this new bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management is its integration of a broader business curriculum, which helps to expand the student’s understanding of the business world,” Reilly added.
Ashford University’s Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management degree program was designed for students seeking careers in the Human Resources field. Students who enroll in this program will develop a strategic understanding of workforce planning and development, training, socioeconomic business structure, compensations and benefits, employee health and safety, global communication and basic labor law.
Students who enroll in Ashford University’s Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Public Policy degree program will learn about the connection between civic involvement and educational community growth. They will be academically prepared to work in academic institutions, community development, government, public service and non-profit organizations.
Both new degree programs are currently available to online students of Ashford University. They have been approved by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools as postsecondary academic degree programs. They do not include any additional professional licensures or certifications. Students seeking licensure or certification should consult the appropriate corresponding entities.
