Ashford University Appoints John Ballheim as Vice President, Campus Director

Ashford University is pleased to name Mr. John Ballheim, as Vice President, Campus Director. He will report directly to Ashford’s President, Dr. Jane McAuliffe and his responsibilities will include providing day-to-day leadership to Ashford’s students, faculty, and staff, as well as being responsible for the overall business management, operations, and the administration of the academic programs of the University’s campus.

Prior to his appointment at Ashford University, Mr. Ballheim served as a Senior Professor at DeVry University in Columbus, Ohio. Before that he was the President of the DeVry Institute of Technology, where he helped to grow its enrollment and programmatic offerings. Also at DeVry, he served as President of its Columbus, Ohio campus, as President of its Canadian Institute of Technology, and various other operational roles. He also served as the Dean of Admissions and the Dean of Students at Rosary College, in River Forest, Illinois.

Mr. Ballheim earned his Bachelor degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and his Master of Education in Administration from the University of Illinois.
