Ashford University Named to the 2013 List of Military Friendly Schools by G.I. Jobs Magazine
Ashford recognized among top 15 percent of schools supporting America's service members
Ashford University has been named to the 2013 List of Military Friendly Schools® by G.I. Jobs magazine. The list recognizes the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to ensure America’s military service members, veterans and students succeed in the classroom.
“Inclusion on the 2013 List of Military Friendly Schools® shows Ashford University’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students,” said Sean Collins, director for G.I. Jobs. “As interest in education grows, we’re thrilled to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools.”
The 2013 List of Military Friendly Schools® was compiled through extensive research and by surveying more than 12,000 VA-approved schools nationwide using criteria, methodology and weighting developed by an Academic Advisory Board. Schools on the list offer military scholarships and discounts, veterans’ clubs, full-time staff, military credit and other services to those who have served in the armed forces.
“Ashford University is dedicated to serving our nation’s military men and women. Due to the demands of military service, the pursuit of higher education has always been challenging for these courageous men and women,” said Dr. Elizabeth Tice, president of Ashford University. “Ashford University combines engaging curricula with the power of technology to offer high quality online degree programs that are also affordable, flexible and accessible from anywhere in the world.”
Ashford University provides military education benefits to all eligible service members and their spouses. The University's military grant also waives technology fees and pays for all books and applicable shipping costs for qualified military students.
