Dr. Aaron Bruce Will Deliver Keynote Address at Ashford University's Commencement

The Chief Diversity Officer for San Diego State University to speak at San Diego graduation

Dr. Aaron Bruce, chief diversity officer at San Diego State University, has been selected to deliver the keynote address during Ashford University’s commencement ceremony. Thousands of graduates and guests from across the United States will participate in the University’s ceremony being held on May 1 at Viejas Arena, located at 5500 Canyon Crest Dr., San Diego, CA 92115.

Dr. Bruce focuses on campus-wide multicultural understanding, social justice, and strategies related to diversity and inclusion. He is also an active member of the National Association for Diversity Officers in Higher Education, serves as vice president of the Southern California Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education, and is an International Multicultural Institute certified diversity trainer.

A New Jersey native, Dr. Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Michigan State University, obtained a master’s degree in international business administration from United States International University, and received his Ph.D. in education from the joint Rhode Island College and University of Rhode Island Doctoral Program in education.
