Dr. Steve Kerr Joins the Board of Advisors for the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University
Dr. Kerr brings decades of experience in academia and leadership development to the Forbes School of Business
The Forbes School of Business at Ashford University announced that Dr. Steve Kerr has been appointed to the School’s Board of Advisors. A leader in the fields of education and business, Dr. Kerr will use his knowledge to help guide the Forbes School of Business.
Currently, Dr. Kerr is a senior advisor to Goldman Sachs, where he has previously served as managing director and chief learning officer. Before that, Dr. Kerr spent seven years as the chief learning officer and vice president of corporate leadership development at General Electric where he led the company’s renowned leadership-education center.
Dr. Kerr also possesses an extensive background in academia. He was a member of the faculty for the business schools at the Ohio State University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Southern California. While at the University of Southern California, Dr. Kerr was the dean of the faculty and director of the Ph.D. program. Dr. Kerr is a former president of the Academy of Management, the world’s largest association of academicians in management. He has authored or coauthored six books and more than 80 journal articles.
In recent years, Dr. Kerr has been sharing his extensive knowledge as an advisor to several prominent organizations. He is a member of the board of directors for Harvard Business Publishing, The Motley Fool, and the Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, and he is on the advisory board for the University of Pennsylvania’s program in learning leadership.
