The Forbes School of Business and Technology at Ashford University announced it received the High Plains Award given by Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence (RMPEx) for creating an organizational profile working towards the first step of the RMPEx Performance Excellence approach to the Baldrige approach. Dr. Andree Swanson, program chair and bachelor of arts in business leadership associate professor for Forbes School of Business and Technology at Ashford, accepted the award on Friday, April 15, during the 2017 Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence Quest Award Ceremony held in Denver, Colo.
The Baldrige approach is based on the Baldrige criteria for Performance Excellence framework, a proven program that brings innovation and results to any organization. The awards program recognizes organizations from education, healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit/government, service, and small business in Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming.
“The Forbes School of Business and Technology at Ashford is honored to have received the High Plains Award,” said Dr. Andree Swanson. “As an institution that focuses on innovation and service to its students, being awarded the High Plains Award is a validation to the university’s commitment to its mission of providing high-quality, accessible, innovative, educational programs to individuals pursuing advancement in their lives.”
The High Plains Award is intended for organizations who are interested in beginning a self-assessment and initiating the journey toward performance excellence. Interested organizations are required to complete a profile to include information about the organization’s operating environment, key relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders, competitive environment, key strategic challenges and advantages, and performance improvement systems.
