Which Degree is Right for Me? - Infographic
Your degree won’t always match your job title, and that’s okay. MBA graduates don’t all take positions as “Business Administrators,” just as psychology graduates don’t all become psychologists. So, when researching your college options, you sometimes have to look past what it will say on your diploma.
Students, especially adult learners, can’t afford to commit to a degree that’s antithetical to their career goals. That’s why you need to ask questions on top of questions. For example, do you want to run your own business? If so, do you know which industry you’d like to work in? If so, do you like math? Keep peeling back the layers until you’re absolutely sure you’ve reached your final answer.
Sometimes it’s easier when you can visualize your path. So, take a look at this infographic, and use it to find a degree that’s right for you. Depending on which direction you take, you may even learn something new about yourself.
Even after you’ve completed this exercise, you should continue to question everything before making a final decision. Consider even the smallest details, such as where you’ll study and how you’ll stay organized in college. The more you know about yourself and your degree, the more likely you’ll be successful in school.
