Working Moms Balance Home and Career

Working Moms

We invited speakers at the 2014 Forbes Women’s Summit (sponsored by Ashford University) to share their thoughts on being a working mom. Watch this short video to see what they had to say:

It’s challenging to raise children while holding down a job and working to rise in the ranks in your profession. Many women feel they have to sacrifice their career goals in order to devote enough time to their family. The key is to seek balance and feel a sense of purpose in both roles. As Jessica Simpson says, “I think being a good mother is being a passionate person. And it is being driven and knowing that you want to be a role model for your kids.”

What do you think of these working mom tips? If you’re a working parent, how do you balance your family with your career? Please share your comments with the rest of the Ashford community.
