Jennifer Vogel, PhD
Dr. Jennifer Vogel is the chair of the Master of Arts in Education program in the College of Education at Ashford University. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Equity from American University in Washington, DC and also holds a Master’s degree in Education, Reading Specialist program, from Loyola University Maryland and a BA in Psychology/Early Childhood Education from St. Mary’s College in Maryland. Dr. Vogel has taught preschool and elementary school and has been in higher education since 2001 teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in traditional, hybrid, and online formats. These experiences have given her a richer perspective of the world of education, from teaching our youngest learners to preparing tomorrow’s teachers. She is a published researcher who has presented at several national conferences and in 2010, she was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD). Dr. Vogel is proud to serve Ashford’s mission of providing affordable and accessible education; teaching adults and providing them with educational opportunities and access to higher education is her passion. Dr. Vogel lives in San Diego, CA with her children and enjoys going to the beach, hiking, and mountain biking.
