Dr. Gwen Morse serves as Full-Time Faculty in Ashford’s RN-BSN program. Dr. Morse received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She completed her PhD in Nursing at the University of Arizona. Dr. Morse has been teaching for 30 years in a wide variety of settings ranging from vocational to doctoral education and traditional campus to online settings. Prior to joining Ashford, Dr. Morse’s administrative background includes serving as a director of education, program director, director of assessment and dean. Dr. Morse’s research interests focus on women’s health issues, health promotion, and scholarly academic writing. She has numerous publications and has presented nationally and internationally. In her spare time, Dr. Morse routinely posts podcasts (available via iTunes) in which she reviews current women’s health research for the general public. Dr. Morse lives in Santa Barbara with her husband David and they have two grown sons. Her favorite pastime includes sailing their 27 foot sailboat and international travel. She also serves as a naturalist for the Channel Islands Naturalist Corps.
