Biography

Karin Parramore has been interested in herbal medicine her entire life, and purchased her first book on herbal medicine at the age of 7. After a life of studying she realized she could actually be an herbalist, and obtained Chartered Herbalist status from Dominion Herbal College in 2001. In addition, she has been a practicing Aromatherapist since 2002. Karin graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine (now National University of Natural Medicine) with an MSOM in Chinese Medicine, and holds a license to practice acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

For the past 6 years Karin has acted as Teaching Assistant to Dr. Heiner Fruehauf, founder of the Classical Chinese Medicine program at NUNM. Most recently, Karin has been adjunct faculty at the East West College of the Healing Arts, teaching Pathology, and adjunct faculty at the National University of Natural Medicine (Cosmology and Symbolism, Aromatherapy and Chinese Medicine, Facial Acupuncture and Aromatherapy). She has taught Aromatherapy at both the National University of Natural Medicine and the Helfgott Research Institute, as well as offering classes to the public from her clinic, Good Life Medicine Center.

Karin's core teaching philosophy revolves around finding where the teacher and student can connect in order to shape the material to maximize learning. As connecting with others is Karin's strongest skill, her students regularly share how easily they are able to absorb the information in her classes.
