Dr. Pazanta “Devonn” Goolsby is lead faculty of the Master of Arts in Health Care Administration program in the College of Health, Human Services, and Science at Ashford University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Winston-Salem State University and his Master of Business Administration-Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix, where he also received a Doctor of Health Administration.
Dr. Goolsby has served 10 years as a laboratory manager for Quest Diagnostics at High Point Regional Hospital, and five years as the director of the MBA-Health Administration and Healthcare Management programs at another university. Dr. Goolsby also was a co-founder and program manager of a healthcare management program at a small university in North Carolina. He has taught a range of healthcare management, leadership, clinical laboratory science, and healthcare finance courses throughout his years in academia. Dr. Goolsby’s research interests include customer service in healthcare, leadership, diversity in healthcare leadership, and cultural competence in healthcare. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and Delta Mu Delta.
