Biography

Dr. Tami Beaty is the Associate Dean in the College of Health, Human Services, and Science at Ashford University. She earned her EdD in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction and Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management are from Colorado Christian University. Dr. Beaty has over a dozen years’ experience in higher education. Her favorite thing about teaching is being a critical part of her students’ personal and professional development. She says, “My educational experiences have shaped the person I am today, to be sure. Having been an adult student and learner I have a keen understanding of the effort and sheer will it takes to pursue a degree and manage it with all the other life, work, and family commitments grown-ups have.” Having recently relocated from Florida back to her home state of Colorado, Dr. Beaty currently resides in Denver with her husband and their three dogs. Her two adult children and their respective spouses also live nearby.
