Chao Meng, PhD
Dr. Chao Meng is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. He received his PhD in Systems & Industrial Engineering and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona. He also received his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Logistics Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, China. Dr. Meng’s research interests include multi-paradigm simulation, agricultural supply chain coordination and model-based systems engineering.
Prior to joining Ashford University, Dr. Meng worked as an Assistant Research Scientist at the Computer Integrated Manufacturing & Simulation Lab at the University of Arizona. He has research experience in coal mining logistics system simulation and optimization, agricultural production system optimization, manufacturing system energy consumption reduction, and healthcare system performance improvement. He is also a member of several academic organizations, including, INFORMS, IIE and SIGSIM.
