Chastity A. Miller, EdD
Chastity Miller is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Bluffton University (previous Bluffton College) with a focus on management; a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from South University Online with a focus on criminal justice and corrections; and an education doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from Argosy University Online with a focus on curriculum and instruction. Her professional experience includes working for nearly seven years for a court of common pleas as an adult probation officer supervising felons within the community. She has also operated Grand Lake Police Academy for a year. Sworn officers who work at Mercer County, Ohio Sheriff’s Office and Celina, Ohio Police Department have graduated from her academy. She has been working in higher education as an educator, department chair, and national chair for criminal justice and paralegal programs since 2005. She has also worked as a buyer for a large manufacturing company and an operations manager/safety officer for a utility company. Dr. Miller tells all her students they should “research their field of study to be sure that is what they want to do. The rest is a matter of perseverance.” She is married with two adult daughters, a stepson in high school, and a Yorkie named Snickerz.
