Martin McAuliffe, JD
Martin McAuliffe is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Ashford University. He earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Ripon College. He started his career in 1991 at the Phoenix City Prosecutor’s Office as a Trial and Appellate Attorney before moving to the Law Offices of Weingart and Penrod in 1994. He has worked as Staff Counsel and as the Associate Dean in the College of Counseling and Human Services for the University of Phoenix, as the Department Chair of the Criminal Justice department at Bauder College, and as a professor at Argosy University. McAuliffe started with Ashford in 2005 and served as the Lead Faculty member for the Criminal Justice program between 2007-09. He now teaches criminal justice courses full-time. He loves seeing students understand the benefits of a class after being fearful and reluctant about their abilities at the beginning of course. He encourages them to stay ahead of their deadlines and says, “Five week courses move very quickly. Do not be afraid to use your instructors as a resource. We are here for you, so please let us help.”
