Biography

Dr. Conni Whitten is an Assistant Professor in the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University, where she teaches courses in organizational management. She earned a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership with a specialty in Human Resource Development at Nova Southeastern University. Her Master’s degree is in Public Administration from Central Michigan University and she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Troy University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Dr. Whitten’s career began in the insurance and medical industries, and she then worked for 20 years as an administrator in public education. She enjoys interacting with adult learners and believes Ashford offers a nicely structured format that benefits both the student and the instructor. She says, “The students I’ve had the pleasure to share with know and understand that my number one priority is their success. I am proud to be their learning partner during our time together and I will do everything within my ability to move them to a positive ending – as long as they are willing to do their part.” Dr. Whitten resides in LaGrange, GA with her husband Michael. They have five adult children and seven grandchildren.
