Biography

Dr. Diane Hamilton is the MBA Program Chair and an Assistant Professor in the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University. She received a PhD in Business Management from Northcentral University, a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Arizona State University. Her professional background includes over three decades’ experience in the software, pharmaceutical, real estate, and mortgage lending industries. She serves on an advisory board for a company that provides leadership training to youth to prepare them to become future leaders.

Hamilton has authored three books: The Online Student’s User Manual, How to Reinvent Your Career, and It’s Not You It’s Your Personality. Dr. Hamilton has taught online courses since 2006 and has worked for Ashford since 2008. Her work at the Forbes School of Business includes curriculum development, working with constituents, handling conflict management, supporting academic programs, participating in peer review, engaging in scholarly activities including publishing and research, contributing to program review, and teaching graduate-level courses.

She says, “I enjoy teaching at Ashford because the University is well-respected. I’ve taught for many different online universities and taken online courses from many different institutions as well. I believe online education is the future of education and I believe Ashford has one of the best models available.” Dr. Hamilton is a native of Paradise Valley, AZ. She is married and has two adult daughters.
