Biography

Dr. Gail Hoskyns-Long is the Program Chair for the Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management and Analysis in the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University, where she focuses on courses in operations management and integrated supply chain management. She hold a PhD in Organization and Management and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University, and a Master of Arts in Adult Education along with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Central Michigan University. Prior to joining Ashford full-time, she worked within the corporate arena for more than 25 years in the area of automotive design and manufacturing with General Motors and suppliers. She has also taught traditional and online courses for the past several years, and enjoys incorporating new and different modes of learning and technology into her students’ educational experiences. A favorite quote of hers is by B.B. King: “The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.” Dr. Hoskyns-Long lives north of Detroit, MI with her husband, and enjoys boating and listening to audio books.
