Dr. George Holbrook is Program Chair of the Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Master of Public Administration in the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University. He has been an educator, attorney, and public administrator for several decades, having taught in public schools along with community college and university levels both on-ground and online. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, a Master of Public Administration from National University in San Diego, and a BA in Biology and Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. Holbrook spent over a decade working as a criminal prosecutor and another decade as director of a county department and senior attorney, which provided invaluable experience in dealing with issues of public administration at all governmental levels. He has taught full-time for nearly 12 years at the K-12, community college, and university levels. At Ashford, he enjoys the opportunity to work with students from a great variety of backgrounds and interests. His number one tip for students is to “maintain that initial level of determination that you started in your educational journey. Carefully look at all the many options available in college, and follow your passion!” When not working, Holbrook enjoys exploring San Diego and taking trips to Maui, HI with his family.
